Friendster.com upgrade it user blogging platform to WordPress now served as replacement of MovableType ! This is definitely a great move and allowed users to have more control of their friendster blog's backend. I believe friendster using WPMU as the base as supporting multi million user for using new platform which i also playing on it recently on our coming project at Friendscino.comThe blog you're reading now - Jerry Ong Community was also powered by Movable Type but after idea exchange with problogger like liewcf and hongkiat back in Barcamp, it actually give me an idea of converting my blog to WordPress and i'm still testing on it.

Breaking News - Malaysia's petrol price will increase 40 percent to 2.70 ringgit (0.84 dollars) a litre from Thursday as controls are removed under a revamped subsidy system, the prime minister said."Effective from tomorrow, 5 June 2008, the price of petrol will be raised by 78 sen and the price of diesel will be raised by 1.00 ringgit," Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told a press conference.
"The new price of petrol will be 2.70 while the new price of diesel will be 2.50," he said. Petrol currently costs 1.92 ringgit (0.60 dollars) at the pump, among the cheapest in Asia.

Blogging software company Six Apart Now offer advertising network to its members! Which is a new income source for Bloggers using their products, like Movable Type (which Jerry Ong Community used), TypePad, VOX, LiveJournal.
The goal for Six Apart: become a one-stop shop for bloggers big and small who want to make money on their musings. The revamp positions Six Apart to compete with blogging agencies like Federated Media, which sells ad campaigns for its member blogs, and Google Ad Words, which lets bloggers slap text ads on their sites. Says Six Apart CEO Chris Alden, "We're giving [bloggers] a third option. Our goal is to provide a better experience and more money."
