M.O.F. The Short of Ministry Of Food, serving probably the best sweet course in Kuala Lumpur located at Pavilion lifestyle mall.

Yeah, MOF deserve a long title on this blog post because the complete Japanese dessert series always make me feel like drive down to KL just to get a plate or maybe two yummy dessert.

Take my words, whenever you’re around KL City or Pavilion, go to Food Republic, try MOF dessert located next to the Supermarket…….

About MOF Hokkaido Desserts

MOF takes its ice cream very seriously. In fact, they have brought it own Japanese Gelato Ice-Cream Specialist who will introduce a special technique of making Hokkaido ice-cream.

In Japan, Hokkaido is well known for its dairy products, particularly the farm-fresh quality of its milk. From this rich, creamy milk, internationally renowned Hokkaido Gelato Ice Cream is produced. The ice cream is made from fragrant and rich Hokkaido milk, with no chemical, preservatives & colourings additives. This is in accordance with MOF’s health and wellness philosophy, in the same way that we incorporate attributes such as low-sugar and low-fat in our food.

Eat Out @ Muar Town – Johor

Muar is also famous for its food. The most well-known local food are "Otak-otak" and "Mee Bandung Muar". Muar is also known for being one of the few places where Satay (a Malaysian delicacy of skewered grilled chicken or beef) is served for breakfast.

Visiting some restaurants and coffee shops in Muar ……..

Visiting some restaurants and coffee shops in Muar would give nostalgic experience since the environment and food/beverage being served have not changed since the 60s and 70s. Coffee served by these restaurants has its unique taste which is believed to be comparable to the famed Kluang coffee and most of this coffee shop was dominate by "Hainanese"

Jalan Haji Abu | Dham Chia Kuey

Muar has a famous street, "Jalan Haji Abu", known as "Dham Chia Kuey" in Hokkien, which is well known for it variety of food. Me & my family definately will visit this "Dham Chia Kuey" wherever we come to Muar. Many local Chinese food are available here, including wanton mee, my favourite Otak-otak, "O jian" (Fried Oyster Omelette), and etc.

Recipe of "O Jian" ?! very simple, it contain only Egg, Oyster, Flour & Onion

But to cook a nice "O jian" its not easy

Best "O Jian" only can get in Johor State,

Other state "O Jian" for me just like normal fried egg.

So… when you go Muar, this is must try cuisine

This is the traditional Otak-otak, you can actually get modern packaging as well

Errmm…. i prefer traditional way.

Using banana leaf and wrap the selection of smoked meat (Fish, Prawn, Sotong & Chicken)

Of course its time for them to show off Media from Singapore interview their Otak-Otak before!!

If you never tried "O jian" & "Otak-Otak" when u visit Muar, better don’t tell people you been Muar.

Autumn – The Season of Daisy/Hairy Crab, my good friend Kelvin suggest go to a Restaurant somewhere around Imbi KL enjoy my favourite Daisy Crab! We reach the restaurant about 5pm but the kitchen haven’t ready for food & while waiting in the VIP room, we found that their service very poor, then kelvin suggest we try another restaurant! Last, we decided try out "Four Season Restaurant" that nearby !~~

Lucky, compare to "that" restaurant, Four Season service & their foods was wonderful, Total 6 courses ( sorry, i really don’t know how to translate all the dish name to english) include dessert + 2 Daisy Crab for each person really make us full & happy Of course, the fulfillment of appetite also cost us around RM1,400 plus but i would say really worth it cause only once a year can enjoy the best crab in the world – Hairy Crab (大閘蟹)
