Trade Now – Simplest Google Ads I Have Seen

What a great Sunday morning for me, hope same to you! I notice this simplest Google ads this morning when visit my own blog, the 336 X 280 advertisement place under “related post” of my recent topic “Startup Camp Kuala Lumpur 2008” is so clean and simple which only contain 2 words “Trade Now” as the picture show above! (view screeshot here) The advertisement not even show it website url or any tagline.

I’m so curious to know which website or company created the ad but sad to say, i cannot click on my own Google Ads as it will breach Adsense Program Policies and i can’t find the advertiser in my Adsense “Ad Review Center” too, which mean it wasn’t an advertisement placement targeted to my site(s).

How To Make More Money With Your RSS Feed With WordPress RSS Footer Plugin

Scratching your head How To Make More Money from your blog? You probably forgot about your RSS Subscribers / Readers can also generate income for you!

Other than Google Adsense for Feeds allowed you place advertisement in feeds (before or after content) , this simple plugin was another option for you to implement affiliate ads or any html ads content in your WordPress RSS feeds (or burned feeds)

Requires WordPress at least: 2.2 and tested up to: 2.6

Step One – Download and Install Plugin

* Download RSS Footer Plugin, Copy “rss-footer.php” to wp plugins directory of your blog.

* Enable the plugin in your admin panel.
* An options panel will appear under “Settings” / “Options”.

Step Two – RSS Footer Option Settings

Only 3 simple option for you to configure,

a) Enter your html content or affiliate advertisement code in text box.

b) Select “Content Position”, whether you want to display before or after RSS content

c) Other Option, allowed you link back to the blog post with anchor title

You’re Done !

So now go view your RSS feed for the change, if you’re using feedburner may need to ping and see your feed update!

How Embed Advertisement Show in My RSS Feeds

How come my FeedBurner feed doesn’t immediately show the changes?
You should first try to ping FeedBurner, and see if that makes it show up in your feed. If it doesn’t, log in to your FeedBurner account, select the appropriate feed, and click on the “Troubleshootize” tab. Half way down the page you’ll find a “Resync” button, that should make the changes show up almost instantly.

Can I insert more than one line into the RSS footer?
You can throw an entire work of Shakespeare in there, should you want to. I wouldn’t recommend doing that though.

Google seems so much ready to enter Online Games Advertisement market now as their Ads Product Marketing Dept announce earlier today, Adsense For Games was ready for beta user registration.

If you’re developer or publisher of web-based games, you’re contributing to a growing trend – according to comScore, over 25% of Internet users play online games every week, which is over 200 million users worldwide. As a beta user of AdSense for Games, you can display video ads, image ads, or text ads within your online games to earn revenue. You’ll be able to show these ads in placements you define, such as interstitial frames before a game, after a level change, or when a game is over.

Here’s a quick video to give you a better idea of what games are part of Google Adsense For Games network and how advertisers can use this medium to reach their target audience:

At this time, eligible publishers must have a minimum of 500,000 game plays and have 80% of their traffic from the U.S. or the U.K. If you’re interested in becoming a AdSense for games beta publisher, feel free to review their complete list of requirements and submit an application. Google AdSense for Feeds is Live Now!

How to Make Money with your RSS Feeds? When you logon to Google Adsense recently, you will find Adsense for Feeds advertisement option is now widely available for Adsense user! This sounds a good news for people who make money online from their blog or website. You need to have a feedburner.com and adsense account to monetize your RSS or Atom feeds.

Once you Login in or Sign up a Google Adsense account, go to “Adsense Setup” , click on “Get Ads” tab you’ll find the new Adsense for feeds.

When you choose Adsense for Feeds, you will be prompt to enter information of your prefer ad type, layout and etc. Some users will be stuck here like me if you’re using different email for adsense and feedburner. So you need to do a manually migrating feedburner account to your google account before you can monetize your feeds. I’m simply surprise Google request user to do this manually but not automatically process online.

How to Migrating to a Google Account in order to use Adsense for Feeds?

Google will soon provide a self-service process to migrate from an account on the original FeedBurner website
to a Google Account. Currently, migrating your feeds from from
FeedBurner to a Google account is a manual process. Google will assist you
directly to ensure a successful migration. The only way you can use AdSense for feeds is through your Google Account.

To migrate all of your feeds, and your account from feeds.feedburner.com to Google, contact them at adsense-support-aff@google.com and provide the following information:

Your FeedBurner account username
The Google Account email address you use to sign in to AdSense

Google will migrate your account and contact you with specific steps for you to follow once migration is complete.

I received reply from Google Adsense more after 2 days but still cannot proceed to Adsense for Feeds due to they found i have 2 feedbuner account…….

Anyone had successfully implement Adsense for Feeds in your RSS or Atom? I think Google Adsense still need to make it more clear in future in between Adsense for Feeds and Feedburner Adsense Integration in future, also make it automatically transfer by user will be more convenience.

Graffiti and Street Art wasn’t so normal and acceptable by Asia countries yet (i think) because we hardly can see government allocated a proper place like park, mall foyer for artist or graffiti lover to present their work. Facebook start insert sponsor ads into Stories and Mini Feeds

After Facebook launch it new layout earlier, now you can see there is some significant improvement on it layout, i’ll say more tidy and more advertisement will show on your right bar which some of the users say it was good for the advertisement placement (more user attention and higher CTR)

Today i aware Facebook also insert sponsor ads into users Stories and Mini Feeds , which is just like any in content ads placement most of the bloggers will do. Guess what! they really make the sponsor ads like one of your friend’s story which i think will attract a lot of user click on it, specially ads with attractive title and description example “Who want Free Tickets of Avril Lavigne Concert?” or something like “Who want to join our Bikini Party?” lol~

Now the question is, will users like in-content advertisement?
Some of the user really don’t like in-content advertisement but some say yes to it as long the advertisement much related to the information that they’re looking for!

My blog also have in-content ads, so drop me a comment share with me what do you think about in-content advertisement and maybe include in-text advertisement (example: kontera) Do you like it or hate it? If you’re a blogger or publisher, how much in-content ads generate revenue for you?

Six Apart enter Online Advertisement Business

Blogging software company Six Apart Now offer advertising network to its members! Which is a new income source for Bloggers using their products, like Movable Type (which Jerry Ong Community used), TypePad, VOX, LiveJournal.

The goal for Six Apart: become a one-stop shop for bloggers big and small who want to make money on their musings. The revamp positions Six Apart to compete with blogging agencies like Federated Media, which sells ad campaigns for its member blogs, and Google Ad Words, which lets bloggers slap text ads on their sites. Says Six Apart CEO Chris Alden, “We’re giving [bloggers] a third option. Our goal is to provide a better experience and more money.”

As part of the restructuring plan announced, Six Apart will form two new business units. The first, Six Apart Media, will tackle advertising. Bloggers can make money on their blogs by advertising with Six Apart. The company will partner with social media ad network Adify to develop advertising.

The second new business unit, Six Apart Services, will offer consulting for design and optimization to large publishers and corporate customers. “We’ve been selling ads against blogs for years,” says Alden. “We have more experience in how you bring high-end advertising to a large network of blogs.”

The Vox community has been highly receptive to innovative discussions that bring bloggers and marketers together.
