I did my 1st talk at BarCamp JB on 6th December 2008, this is the very 1st time JerryOng.com talk as a blogger. Special Thanks the organizer, Cheryl Goh invitation and everyone who attend my presentation.

This is my second time attend BarCamp and feel happy able to share with camper fellow my topic “How to Utilize Online Social Networking to Built Your Blog Reader and Grow Your Business“

At first i was a bit nervous but lucky i had little experience of giving speech for my business and feel happy to meet up few long lost secondary school mate at BarCamp, also meet some new friends like Lionel Chew, Pik Sun, Hassim and many other interesting people who love to share and learn.

I start fall in love with unconference style BarCamp and looking forward to join the next camp targeted at Kuala Lumpur during February or March 2009.

If you’re asking the question – “Will your previous blog post generate income for you?”

My answer to you is : Definitely Yes!

If you follow my blog well and you might asking what is Jerry Ong doing for the passed few days and leave the blog without update? i’m actually doing a little experiment about whether old blog post generate my daily income or the latest blog content was the original income support!

The following was the summary of my results for stop blogging on the pass 6 days:

My Daily Visitor – Drop 15.8%

My Daily Income – Drop 1.7%

My Advertisement Clicks – Drop 7%

Advertisement Page CTR – Drop 0.25%

Adertisement Page ecpm – No Change

So what does the above statistic tell us? People still Google topics that i blog before and with a solid content, it will still generate online income for you! Of course, you can’t stop blogging like few months and expect the income level still maintain the same and most probably you will lose readers who subscribe your blog!
