Facebook had introduce new gift credits system. Other than Facebook’s advertising business, Facebook also been selling millions of gifts annually to it users via the Facebook payment system. Previously, virtual gifts cost $1 per gift and now Facebook had announced that the system would change to a credit based system. Gifts will cost 100 credits based on current system. This moved will help facebook to manage accounts in different currencies.

The Facebook gift shop offers nearly 400 gifts, ranging from digital flowers to online depictions of Frisbees and birthday balloons. With the new system of credits, gifts that were previously listed at $1 apiece will now sell for 100 credits. The change is automatic and doesn’t require any actions to keep participating. One hundred credits can be bought for $1 and facebook making this change without raising or lowering prices on existing gifts.

If you currently have unused prepaid gifts from before, it will be converted each one into 100 gift credits.

Click-to-buy links in YouTube are non-obtrusive retail links, placed on the watch page beneath the video with the other community features. Just as YouTube users can share, favorite, comment on, and respond to videos quickly and easily, now users can click-to-buy products — like songs, books, and movies — related to the content they’re watching on the site. YouTube getting started by embedding iTunes and Amazon.com links on videos from companies like EMI Music, and providing Amazon.com product links to the newly released video game Spore(TM) on videos from Electronic Arts.

According to YouTube, this is just the beginning of building a broad, viable eCommerce platform for users and partners on YouTube. The vision is to help partners across all industries — from music, to film, to print, to TV — offer useful and relevant products to a large, yet targeted audience, and generate additional revenue from their content on YouTube beyond the advertising they serve against user videos. And those partners who use YouTube content identification and management system can also enable these links on user-generated content, by using Content ID to claim videos and choose to leave them up on the site.

This Click-To-Buy service foreseen will turns out to be another profitable service for YouTube and this is a must trend to moved on as many users upload copyright content to YouTube which make content provider losing big bucks from selling original contents.

Also hope to see YouTube will have eCommerce platform for small content provider and even individual user can sell their content or embed affiliate advertisement in video ads, that would definitely help people who make money online like bloggers, vloggers generate more income by producing more video content.
