JerryOng.com New Blog Layout for 2009

Spend some hours during weekend to change my blog layout. Finally have free time to do this after received few comments from reader about the old layout load very slow.

This theme is simple but love it some much! This new theme was modified by me using free wordpress theme – Digital Statement.

Reason for new layout

1. It load faster compare to old theme

2. Look more tidy with the white content column bar and sidebar

3. Placement of Online Advertisement also optimize and it looking smoother & gel better with blog contents, hope this will boost more online income

4. Create extra footer column and move not so important sidebar content to the footer

Please drop me a comment and let me know what do you think about new blog layout.

What’s next? Going to upgrade other site like Friendscino.com with social network features and also looking to launch a online shopping store in coming month.

This is much better, faster than the previous theme while maintaining similar look and feel.

Well, I voted no for this layout. First of all google friend connect is highlighted prominently, it’s not very popular and you are wasting that prime real estate.

Tag cloud’s vertical space is empty and you can definitely compress it to make it look useful. Icons are taking too much space in recent comments section.

Why did you remove the social bookmarking buttons? Not yielding enough hits?

what you need is a professional logo to brand yourself. The wordpress theme can change but your logo will distinguish yourself from the other billion blogs out there
