Facebook Server Software – Scribe Technology Now Open Source

Facebook had annouced about their Scribe Technology now ready for Open Source, it was built because of they constantly facing scaling challenge of the platform enormous growth. Whereby facebook was collecting a few billion messages a day for everything from access logs to performance statistics to actions that went to News Feed. The Scribe system facebook built turned out to be useful for handling over 100 use cases and tens of billions of messages a day. Scribe has also been battle tested by just about anything that can go wrong, according to facebook recent note.
Scribe server is now available as a project on SourceForge, developers can track updates, request features, join the mailing list and submit bug reports.
