just yesterday i went to Studio R ( if im not mistaken ) beside Nike in Midvalley. They do have a tag said ‘pig skin’. Perhaps instead of cow leather, they use pig leather.
that what i think at the first place also but don’t they worry people don’t want to buy it because of using material related to pig?
well, rather than later have muslim customer complaining that their shoes got pig lining and then it will make into the headlines of newspaper, that would be more troublesome. so explaining materials beforehand will help the muslims customer to decide.
well, there’s still non-muslim customer who can wore that shoes. so no worries for their sales. on the positive side, muslims will feel much safer when the materials of the shoe is stated
ya ! agree with what you mentioned, it is good they mentioned the materials of product they sell to avoid any inconvenience causes
Pig skin lining means that the inside of the shoes are made of pig skin. Imported shoes commonly use pig skin lining for shoes and belts as, they say, pig skin is very soft and comfortable. Its quite a hassel when you’re buying stuff overseas.
