Friendster.com has globally launched its mobile site address @ http://m.friendster.com

Using the mobile site, Friendster.com users can get updates on their friends, check messages, review requests, post shout outs, browse photos, browse user- and fan- profiles, search for users by name or email, view birthdays, read horoscopes, and post bulletins. Initially though, users won’t be able to register, create an account.

The mobile site is now accessible from any Web-enabled mobile device. While m.friendster.com is free for all users, users remain subject to specific carrier data and/or wireless Internet service provider plans.

Even as mobile web browsing becomes more and more standard on handheld devices, there are a number of networks, including MySpace, that are looking to optimized mobile versions for the purpose of expanding its user base and advertising network! Most important is, more and more people out there start using mobile phone to check mail and social online.
